Affiliate disclosure
Updated 2026-10-27
Some links on Play Ocarina to shops that sell ocarinas may be affiliate links. If you buy something after clicking one, the shop may pay us a commission, at no extra cost to you. It helps keep the tuner and the lessons free.
How are affiliate links labelled?
Every affiliate link has a visible "paid link" label right next to it, so you can always tell which links earn us money. Pages that carry affiliate links also link back to this page.
Does a commission change your recommendations?
No. We recommend ocarinas based on what players report, what makers publish and, as our own tests come in, what we measure, and we say where each fact came from. A shop paying a commission does not move an ocarina up our list, and we tell you when a cheaper option is good enough.
Where will you never put affiliate links?
- Inside or next to your tuning test result: if your ocarina reads out of tune, we want you to trust that, not to wonder whether we are selling you a new one. Our buying guide is one link away instead.
- On the pages that teach the songs from the Zelda games. Those pages are free and carry no shop links of any kind.
Which programmes do you use?
None are live yet. When one is, we will list it here with what it pays. Questions: hello@playocarina.com.
