What is the tricky spot in Saria's Song?
Dropping from B back down to F for the repeat. The fingers have to land on their holes at the same moment, or the F squeaks. On a 12-hole, from B to F you cover the left ring, left middle and right index.
How do you hold and breathe for Saria's Song?
Tongue each note with a light "du" rather than blowing harder, and keep the air about the same for F, A and B: they sit close together.
Which ocarina plays Saria's Song?
Any 12-hole alto C, 6-hole pendant in C or 4-hole pendant in C plays it. On an ocarina in G or F, use the same fingerings and it sounds lower. See the 12-hole fingering chart for every note, and check yours with a chromatic tuner (our own ocarina tuner is on its way). Not sure which ocarina to get? Read our buying guide.
Why is Saria's Song called the Lost Woods song?
Saria's Song belongs to the Lost Woods: Saria teaches it deep in the woods, and Link plays it there, to Mido to reach the Sacred Forest Meadow and to the Skull Kid for a Piece of Heart. This page shows only the six-note phrase Link plays on the ocarina.
Where do you learn Saria's Song in Ocarina of Time?
Saria teaches it in the Sacred Forest Meadow, deep in the Lost Woods, which is why many players search for it as the Lost Woods song. Playing it later lets Link talk to Saria for hints.
