Free ocarina resources on other sites

Our own pages are free too: the songs show the fingering for every note on each hole count they fit, and the fingering charts show every note on a 12-hole, 6-hole and 4-hole ocarina. If you are starting from nothing, begin with the first-week plan and come back here when you want more.

Where can I learn the ocarina for free?

Two free books teach the ocarina from the first note: a course from FolkFluteWorld and a method book from Pure Ocarinas.

• FolkFluteWorld offered two free ocarina books to download when we checked on 2 November 2026: one for transverse and inline ocarinas, with 32 lessons and 180 songs, and one for pendants, with 25 lessons and 140 songs. Pick the one for the shape of your ocarina.
• When we checked on 2 November 2026, Pure Ocarinas, an ocarina maker, had put its method book, Serious Ocarina Player, on its site as chapters you can read, from holding the ocarina to playing by ear and reading sheet music. The book is also sold as a PDF and in print.

Where can I find free ocarina tabs?

Tabs are pictures or numbers that show which holes to cover for each note; our guide to reading ocarina tabs explains them. Two sites collect free ones.

• When we checked on 2 November 2026, OcarinaTabs.org had free tabs and sheet music for 4-, 6- and 12-hole ocarinas, sorted by kind of tune, such as Celtic, children's songs, Christmas and hymns. You can browse it by your number of holes.
• 12HoleOcarina.com has free tablature for 12-hole ocarinas, as tables of fingerings where you can click a note to hear it, with five short lessons that add a few notes at a time. It listed 63 songs when we checked on 2 November 2026. For free tabs on a phone, see our guide to ocarina apps.

Where can I find free sheet music for the ocarina?

These libraries are free, and they need you to read music. Check a tune's lowest and highest notes against your ocarina's range before you start, and transpose it if it does not fit; Pure Ocarinas has a chapter on transposing.

• IMSLP is a library of free sheet music in PDF, which you can browse by composer or by instrument.
• When we checked on 2 November 2026, The Mutopia Project had 2,124 pieces that are free to download, print and perform, as PDF and MIDI files. The MIDI file lets you hear a piece before you learn it.
• The Session is a community site for traditional Irish music, so it is the place for jigs and reels. A tune page shows the tune as sheet music, and joining, which is free, lets you add tunes.
