What is the tricky spot in Song of Healing?
Going back up from F to B to start the second half. The tune has stepped down, so the breath has dropped with it, and the B needs it back. On a 12-hole, Song of Healing goes from F to B: you lift the left ring, left middle and right index.
How do you hold and breathe for Song of Healing?
Let each note ring its full length, and ease the air off a little as the tune falls from B through A to F, so the F does not go sharp. What does the Song of Healing do?
The Happy Mask Salesman calls it "a melody that heals evil magic and troubled spirits, turning them into masks". Link plays it for troubled spirits across the game. The Goron warrior Darmani III and the Zora guitarist Mikau each leave a mask that lets Link use their body.
Is the Song of Healing in Ocarina of Time?
No. The Song of Healing is from Majora's Mask, the next game. Link plays it on the same ocarina, though: Zelda Wiki says Princess Zelda gives him the Ocarina of Time before he sets off. Its notes are those of Saria's Song the other way round: B, A, F, where Saria's Song climbs F, A, B.
Where do you learn Song of Healing in Majora's Mask?
The Happy Mask Salesman teaches it in the Clock Tower. Zelda Dungeon explains the order: once Link has his ocarina back from the Skull Kid and has learned the Song of Time, he goes back to the dawn of the first day, and the salesman plays the Song of Healing on his piano. Learning it turns Link from a Deku Scrub back into his own form and leaves him the Deku Mask.
