On a 12-hole, Song of Double Time goes from A to D: you cover the left ring, right index, right middle and right ring. On a 6-hole or 4-hole, you cover the left middle and right index.

What does the Song of Double Time do?
It moves time forward. Zelda Wiki says it lets Link warp "to the night of the same day if played during the day, or to the dawn of the next if played at night", and in Majora's Mask 3D to a chosen hour of the current day. It is the first three notes of the Song of Time played twice each.
